There... Really is a lot of people in here, huh. We should have just had a movie night in the gym and invite everyone.

Yeah, I might've suggested that if I knew. But this is something you guys planned, didn't you? Who made the invite list?

... I think Lila? I mentioned I wanted to invite someone and then had to do something after.

Otome-san invited me and Yamato, I think. Or just me, I'm actually not sure who invited Yamato. [he also doesn't care apparently.] Didn't seem like something to miss, so we're here.

Oh, I actually thought you invited Yamato.

I'm glad you two could make it. It's a first for a handful of us.

[he tilts his head.]

He knew about it before I even mentioned it. [a wry little grin.] But yeah, dude. I'm glad, too. A lot of people could use a breather after Cats, so this was a good idea. There's a lot of worlds that don't have things like these.

[not to mention:] I can't really remember the last time I sat and watched a good movie anyway.

Then we'll make sure this is a great movie night. You can watch all of our reactions, experiencing other movies for the first time.

[ He laughs a bit. ]

I heard there are... Scary movie?

[stop he's fine. that earns nier a smile though because the thought's kind of nice considering how messed up other things are. it's fine. they...should take advantage of the time while they have it.]

That almost sounds better than the movies themselves. [haha. but his eyes light up just a little.]

How do you feel about ghosts and stuff? Scary movies are perfect for this time of year.

Right, with Halloween? I used to be pretty scared of them when I was younger. I'm less scared now. [ Maybe a little spooked. ] Jang Manwol isn't bad.

[ However, Nier will not be prepared for scary movies at all. They are different from real spooks. He's quiet because wow Taichi's eyes bright with mischief. ]

Why do I suddenly have a bad feeling?

Hard to believe she's a ghost at all. [he has spoken to manwol one on one all of like once but he has decided he likes her. nier will never be prepared for scary movies, and taichi isn't going to be the one to tell him. instead, there's an innocent smile.]

You shouldn't! They're just movies, it's not like any of it's real. [which is easy to say when you've been dealing with monsters and horrific things since you were a child. it's entirely possible taichi's way of coping is just by pretending nothing is wrong at the moment. it's easier.

on the other hand, he truly is kind of excited for people to witness something new.]

[ Nier says that innocently and god bless Manwol isn't here to strangle him. Feels digi trauma in this dorm tonight. ]

I'll take your word for it. [ Nier will definitely be stunned like O_O later. ] Aren't the scariest things not real?

I asked her about it and she told me everything. Even if it's not true, this is probably better than other ghosts. [just nodding sagely. glad that manwol will strangle nier later when she hears about this.

on the other hand, he shrugs rather easily even if it's more casual than anything.] That probably depends on what you're scared of. Sometimes the most real things are the scariest. But movies have the magic of special effects.

That's both promising and a little scary, Otome-san. [he looks at the screen.] Like a surprise then.

Exactly! You don't know if you'll laugh or scream or both.

It's probably gonna be both. [he looks a little relaxed, at least, as he hovers nearby.] Thanks for the invite by the way. I didn't realize it'd be this many people.

[he does not say this like it's a bad thing.]

I didn't, either! I only invited two people myself...

[ But she also doesn't seem to mind. ]

I'm glad you could make it, though. I thought we could use a breather.

You're not wrong. [considering he seems less keyed up than he was this weekend, she's right.] We can't forget what's happening, but it doesn't make sense not to try and take a break while we can either. Plus a lot of people have never seen a movie at all. It's valuable education.

That's true! I hope they can enjoy it.

I think even if the movies aren't everyone's thing, the experience of hanging out together will make up for it. That's the other important thing isn't it? A lot of us are still getting to know each other.

[momming]

I just hope we can continue to trust each other. Or at least continue to grow closer.

You think it'll be that easy? [a casual sort of comment, not necessarily because he disagrees but because he's curious to what she'll say.]

Not at all.

... But I think it will be worth it to keep reaching out. At least, that's how I feel about it.

It's better than isolating ourselves, or letting other people be isolated. So even if things keep happening, maybe it isn't bad to try to plan more stuff like this. Maybe it'll convince everybody to calm down a little.
