Yeah. Like adventure stories. [he will agree because it's close enough! nier did good there. but he shakes his head after that.] You would think they would be, but some people try to make movies that are thought-provoking or have hidden messages or whatever. Some of them are okay, but others are trying a little too hard.

I think I read some books like that. Some intrigue is okay and fun, but too much of it has me lost and I forget what's happening in the book.

On Earth, things cost money. So if I paid to go see a movie in a theater I'll sit through it even if it's bad.

I don't think I'd mind that. But you're right. People for the most part are nice. Not bad for a bunch of confused strangers. [one of them may murder again, but he does not say that.] School's a pretty big adjustment so...figured I'd ask.

You're not the first person to say that to me. But I think my answer is still the same. Sometimes all you can do is enjoy the small stuff while trying to find a way to fix the bigger stuff. It's not like we're not still working or figuring things out by doing this. It's just like taking the time to regroup.

It sort of makes sense with the circumstances. [he does not clarify if he means that it makes sense people are confiding in him, or that they're all working overtime. but he looks at nier briefly before letting his gaze drift across the room like he eyeballing how many people are there.]

Things are fine, Nier. Nothing we're not used to. [a pause. and a smile.] Which is exactly why a break like this was needed for everybody.
