[Manwol smiles a little -- it's a little hollow, but]
...I don't mind telling you. It's true that you're young, but you're here with the rest of us. That means you might have to endure the same things. It's not fair to you if you're kept in the dark just because others think they know better.
[age is tricky, youth is trickier. If God was a perfect being, then kids like Lila and Hope wouldn't have to go through this in the first place?? but they're not, so shielding them from the truth might just hurt them in the long run.]
...as long as you don't mind talking about it? Of course I want to know what happened - my age doesn't have anything to do with it. We're all stuck dealing with this place together, so it's better to know than to not know.
[she bites her lip.]
But... you just had to experience all of that, so I don't want to make you relive it just because I want to know.
[very tempted to let that hang there all cryptically, but Manwol's demeanor is mostly business-like. there is Trauma but she refuses to Perceive,]
We were given a false set of memories. I call them false, but a part of me truly believes they happened. That's the reason why all of us reacted so strangely when we saw you. We have memories of you, and a few others, that don't align with the reality here.
[she'd get into the nitty gritty details (no she won't) but more importantly,]
It's proof that this place can do more than just lock us in a dorm at night. It can take us to another location entirely without any prior warning, and it can alter our memories.
bad! very bad. lila's eyes widen - sure, this is not a terribly detailed explanation, but she can fill in the blanks. and even without details, knowing people can be whisked away and have their memories altered...]
Did it... have something to do with why you four were hurt? Or was that separate from the memories?
It had some relation, yes. There was a monster towards the end there and it wanted to kill us because of what we supposedly did. Its feelings were pretty justified though.
[she can only talk pragmatically about it now tbh]
I can't claim to know how the others are feeling, but I do think your presence might help them. It's important to remind them of what's real.
...I'm fine. It's nothing that I haven't seen before.
[hate that manwol says this.]
We did find a few things in the forest when we came back. Papers. We were planning to make copies and show everyone tomorrow, but you can probably see Alphinaud's tonight.
[yikes! i don't even know what manwol's canon is about but if she's seen stuff that's similar to a cyoa, big yikes.]
Oh... good thinking!
[maybe the other group found papers of some kind, too...?]
If he wants to show me tonight, I'll gladly take a look at them, but I don't mind waiting until everyone can see them tomorrow, either. [...] I'm really glad the four of you made it back.

I'll check in with them again, then. And I'll probably see Alphinaud at the dorm... [no escape for alphi!] ...are you holding up okay, though?

Manwol smiles.]
I am too. Now that I'm back, I think I'm due for some answers from whoever's in charge. You can't just leave a debts unpaid, right?
