[honestly that's fucking valid what the fuck it doesn't even have like a life point cost or something? hello??? yugioh card makers what were you thinking????
anyway, she draws a card and hums to herself, immediately placing it in face-down defense mode.]
...I end my turn.
[she could just attack but that would be too easy and frankly i feel bad that she's this close to winning.]
Sure... beginner's luck. You had a completely new deck that I was unfamiliar with. Not only that, but a real beginner wouldn't have high caliber cards. Just because Sally favors you doesn't mean you have any actual skill. I'm the one who knows how the play this game! If you really want to talk about luck, you're lucky I never got my god card on the field-- you would have been wiped out immediately, if I didn't decide that I wanted to watch you squirm first!
[ he crosses his arms. yes, he's being an absolute child about this, because that's what happens when you're the baby of your family and you require getting your way at all times. ]
Of course I do. But I also...
[ he's starting to simmer down a little. hence- ]
I'm not going to sit here and let myself be humiliated by someone like you.
I have a lot waiting for me back before-- coming here. If my strategy doesn't work, and left to rely on blind chance, that undermines everything that I've worked for.
Isn't there a certain amount of chance with these sorts of games no matter what? Like... you can put whatever cards you want in your deck, but if shuffling them gives you a bad hand and gives your opponent a good one, what are you supposed to do?
[she picks up the aussa the earth charmer that had been sent to the graveyard.]
If this one had ended up somewhere else in my deck, I wouldn't have been able to take your leech, right? I could have just as easily been the one who couldn't use a strategy the way I wanted because I had the wrong card. I didn't even have any monsters in my hand at first, I had to draw to get one. If it was a few more cards down you could have wiped out my life points before I even got anything on the field.
[ Ok fine he'll get his deck and show her. he starts sorting some of the cards into different piles. ]
There's always an element of chance, that's true... But you want to have different strategies you can rely on. It's easier when you're familiar with your opponent's play style and you can accommodate for that.
Machine Duplication is only good for Viser Des, so those are the only machine cards in my deck... But then I have several water monsters, like Lekunga and Lord Poison, because the have effects that work well with each other. Of course I can't show you all my cards, but you get the idea.
This deck was made with a tournament and certain opponents in mind, so ideally, it will work best against a certain type of person.
[hah! success. never underestimate the power of telling someone what they want to hear. now she even gets to see some of the cards she didn't get to see in the duel! haha!
(lila is the worst.)]
Oh, see, that's actually really smart! With a tournament, you have a pretty good idea about who you'll be dueling, so tailoring your deck for them is just the right thing to do.
It's not your fault my deck turned out to be a wildcard.

[ he knows what he's doing. don't get it twisted; he's not doing this to be nice, but he wants to flex his ego a little bit more. it's that sort of confidence that says 'i can show you these cards because i can kick your ass with them anyway' - which, yes, is in fact a bold stance to take when he was literally just seething mad over losing. ]
No, it's not. That doesn't make me feel any better about it.

That's right.
My turn. [ He is far less excited right now and just kinda mad. He places a card in the graveyard, and places a new card in the spell/trap zone. ]
I play... Newdoria. [ And he doesn't sound happy about it. ]

I sacrifice Newdoria and summon Legend Devil. I end my turn.

Byeeee, Legend Devil.
[im leaving this tag here in case he has a trap card or something that would prevent that.]

[ Flips a card! It's standard flavor Mirror Force. ]
Get rid of your bug.
[ and aussa but sadly that won't work. ]

[she'll very nicely move the bug to the graveyard. i realized after i sent it that it could have been read as moving the devil. god, imagine that.]
Can I still have Aussa attack you directly now that your devil's gone?

No.

I'm not disagreeing with you, you know? There was definitely a lot of luck involved.

Learn how to play and we can have a real duel!
[ it's hard to sustain his anger when someone is agreeing with him tho. ]

That's what we're doing now, right? Having me learn to play?
