That is quite possible.

Some of the people in my dorm are also cursed. They said it started in the library.

Some sort of library curse. I am not quite clear on the origin. The curse doesn't seem to have affected me though, so I'm not convinced it's the library that started it.

i'm not sure some of the people i've seen biting even know how to read so i don't think the library has anything to do with it.

I would say it's normal. I don't have much to compare to so it's hard to say if anything is unusual I suppose...

But I am from Egypt and my world was very small there.
