...which is to say, she looks upset as she picks at some of the food she's gotten from the cafeteria because she ~needs to keep up her strength~, but when she sees malik approaching, she just full-on takes a bite, because yeah, she hasn't actually lost her appetite at all.]

Sooo, it looks like despite what the dorm heads were saying, this is supposed to be a literal war after all.

Yeah. Catra kept trying to break out, it was hilarious. But, I guess Hiyori was the one who managed to get out instead!

Honestly, the fire alarm was so annoying, I just ran out without looking around.

Then again, if it was something from outside, there probably isn't anything you could do anyway.

Something was definitely messing with us last night. Whatever it was, it's annoying.

Whatever it was might have had a little issue with our dead friend. Perhaps that's the punishment for not doing well in your class..?

If that's the case more of us should be dead. I don't think any of us passed physics. I started skipping after the first class.

Perhaps that one is the exception... Especially when it is expected that the majority will fail.

I only went to one other class, and that one seems impossible to fail, so maybe it isn't these courses they grade you on... but something else?

...it could be. The tasks, maybe? Only... no, I can think of like two or three people who aren't likely to have done them at all, and Hiyori's not one of them.

How can you be so certain? Were you two friends?

Not really, but he gave off these "I'm the best" vibes - someone like that wouldn't let himself fail at something as simple as talking to others, I think.

But, like, that hobo guy? Dimitri? It'd surprise me if I heard he'd done any of them, he barely talks to people as it is. It's like pulling teeth to get him to talk to me.

Hm... Then maybe it isn't a case of him failing, but someone being jealous of him? Taking out the competition early.

Dimitri is the man with one eye, correct? He looks like he could kill someone.

He does, doesn't he? I'm trying to make friends with him - it'd be good to have that kind of muscle on my side.

[who knows? maybe she can get him to kill someone for her.

It could be jealousy... but then, like, who? Someone from one of the dorms other than Summer? Since anyone in my dorm would be on the same team as him.

Jealousy isn't always logical... However, my assumption would also be someone from the other dorms. My dorm is full of... Well, I only think a few of them might be capable of murder, but the rest would more than likely end up as victims, if I had to guess.

Actually, the latter was also found today in a rather sorry state... so maybe not him.

Yes, that's right. Although he wasn't armed... so maybe if he had his sword he would have fared better.

Huh... I heard Dimitri was passed out in a classroom. I wonder why the both of them were out last night...

I wonder if they'd be forthcoming with the truth. Someone has to know something...

Everyone's in shock right now, but it might be easier to get them talking tomorrow after the dust has settled. Or maybe someone will get comfortable and let something slip later on.
