I thought it would be more refreshing cold.

At first, I only picked it up gradually, but...

[she sips from her own mug.]

...At some point, I became genuinely interested in it.

I think that's how a lot of things go, though. You try something, and you don't know if it's going to be something you really like, but then you get really into it.

[sips at her tea]

...it's refreshing.

You're right. I think most things I'm interested in have been just a matter of doing them repeatedly until I realize I'm a fan.

[she smiles over the lip of her mug.]

We could all use a little refreshment.

With any luck, it will be immediate. We should try and prepare for that.

But my second guess is Monday. When a new week begins.

I hope it's sooner rather than later. I am really, really done with this daycare.

After that, we just have to find the train station, right...?

Did you see a path to it? Maybe it's one of the unfinished buildings.

In which case, I hope we return as soon as possible.

No, I didn't... we were just, like, inside the dispatcher's office. I wouldn't know where it was in relation to anything.

That's a shame, but beyond anyone's control. We'll find it, one way or another.

[she takes an aggressive sip.]

Yeah. I definitely think it's nearby. It said it was departing from the Wiwaldi Train Station, and train stations are usually named after places they're close to, so...

We shouldn't have to look too far once we get out of here, I think.

Then perhaps we will be able to make our way back on Monday, and the train station will be one of the newly-opened buildings, and accepting travelers immediately.

[I hope it doesn't cost to ride...]

[Eh, conductors barely ever check if you've paid your fare anyway.]

That would be ideal, but from the sound of things... there's still one more week until graduation, right? We won't be able to leave if we're still "enrolled".

[she blinks. I thought they check at the gates you go through before...]

...Imagine if we had to go back to school for one last week.

[Not always. Some check on the train itself.]

I don't think there's going to be any way around it. We're setting ourselves to "enrolled," so... we'll still have to graduate to leave.

If they don't have anything worth learning, sure.

If it's another class like theoretical physics, or computer skills, I'll go.

Chaos theory, causality, black holes, the theory of relativity...

It could be the source of how we were all brought here in the first place, if not through magic.

And I've never used a computer before here, so that was good, too.

...well, you've got a point about the computers! They're pretty useful.

Maybe I'll try and take one home with me.

But we don't have electricity...

Electricity does make a lot of things way more convenient! There are worse things to bring back with you.
