There's probably a specific way I'm supposed to stand when I'm shooting, right? I've seen it in like, comics and TV shows and stuff, but I've never tried it myself.
There are a couple stances to choose from, and while I don't doubt you capabilities in the least. Let's start us off with the so-called simplest.
[ He picks up a quiver of training arrows and leads her over to where the target is. Standing on one of the target lines, he positions his feet perpendicular to the target, standing comfortable. ]
I was simply mimicking the recoil of the bow! We need to ensure that your stance is strong, so that you're not bowled over by the force of your attack.
Hopefully I'll actually be able to manage with the real thing!
[she smiles and reaches out for it. if he lets her, she'll take the bow and pluck at the bowstring to get an idea of how hard she'll have to pull back.]
[her stance is okay! and she doesn't get knocked over. she manages to actually draw the bow and nock the arrow, but when she lets it fly, it isn't with enough force to actually stab the target.
it bounces off it a little uselessly and falls to the ground.]
