...I'm sure she was just trying to make things easier, but...!

Now someone who wanted to help is going to have to go through... expulsion... tomorrow. And there's still a murderer among us. Or - two. Because of those footprints...
...if they were coerced, then, that changes things, but... it wouldn't change the fact that someone else still died. Would it...?
[god she's 14 don't ask her morality questions like this]
What I want to know is why the only option is expulsion. Which is really more like more murder, because actual expulsions don't typically involve a fight to the death. What kind of messed up system is this?
[ And that's coming from someone who attended Garreg Mach. ]
I don't think there's any point in blaming others right now—not until we can confirm people are being killed voluntarily. We have a known enemy, and it's this school which forces us to condemn people with barely any evidence.
[ Claude almost his mouth to say something incredibly depressing, but then he remembers that he's talking to a child. ]
Yeah, that's what I think. It's difficult, but we need to bide our time to find cracks in the system. Nothing is impenetrable. Whatever whisked us away on Thursday gave us clues about this place too so... steadily, we'll figure it out.
[it's fine, she won't live long enough to be depressed by it anyway!]
Yeah, no one's perfect at keeping secrets. Not even a bear, or the staff here, or whatever's responsible for all this. We'll find out what we need to know eventually.

...a bunch of us just took the easy way out in there. And we don't even know who did it.

She shouldn't have volunteered herself.

...Mandricardo was talking about burning this place to the ground earlier in the week. Maybe I should have let him.
[she sighs]
But I don't think that would have helped much.
no subject
No? It would've been an interesting sight though.

And I doubt we could convince the staff here to leave.
[ He sighs. ]
I guess we'll need to figure something out the smart way.

[huh! lila has never met an arsonist before (to her knowledge). but claude seems legit since he's at least considering evacuating civilians...]
...the question is, what is the smart way? We'll probably need to understand more about this place to figure that out...

Yeah, we'll figure it out. [ Nudges her shoulder. ] Chin up, Lila. Save that aggression for when we can finally trash this place.

[this place is going DOWN.
except she won't be doing that because she'll be dead soon.]
