[you know what's good for a case of the sads? ice cream. so, after noticing mabel seems a bit down, lila goes to collect some, then seeks her out. hopefully she's not lactose intolerant!]

[ she looks up in surprise and, under any other circumstances, she'd be delighted by a friend giving her ice cream! But right now her mind is otherwise preoccupied. ]

[ She returns to her downcast gaze as she begins to eat the ice cream. Or, well. Really she just kind of opens her mouth and aims half-heartedly, resulting in her smearing ice cream all across her lower face. ]

she's still curled up around Waddles, but isn't crying as much now. She wipes the last of the tears from her face. ]

[ Mabel IMMEDIATELY RUNS AFTER HER and throws herself on lila in a tight, bonecrushing hug ]

[ Mabel's just here trying to drown her sorrows in the biggest, most obnoxiously overloaded, sweet mess of ice cream. She's picking at it morosely when she spots the sUPERHERO????
