[After looking absolutely murderous at trial, he seems to calmed down... pretty dramatically. He still has his rifle on him, but that's just normal.]

Ain't her students Chinstrap 'nd Eyepatch? She's got a good handle on a sword. Which... ain't the same thin' as a "rapier".

If you're goin' with the idea of somebody more experienced, that's a possibility. The geese didn't react t' her. Wonder if we looked at that "hint" wrong.

Ya also gotta consider, a lot of people here know how t' use a sword. 'nd she was givin' lessons this week too.

I wonder if maybe Claude seemed so freaked out because... he was starting to wonder the same things about her as I was.

[There's a tired shrug.] The weapon we found didn't look like it'd hold up t' much force. I ain't close to Teach, but... it's possible. Even with the information we had, it's hard t' piece things together when we get shit late.

It's going okay... I've been practicing on my own since then, and I'm getting better at hitting the targets.

[it's a shame they can't remove anything dangerous from their locations!!]

...maybe next time... if there is a next time... we should be ready to use the vouchers right away when we can buy things.

Twice sets some kinda precedent.

Probably fer the best. More time we got the better. Need t' start explorin' faster. Took a while before we did that this time. Even though we knew what was goin' on.

I wonder if maybe... rather than waiting for people to report back with what they find, we should have someone narrating what they find as they go along. One person could search, the other person could text, and a third could relay messages back and forth while they look. That way if we think of anything for them to check on while they're still there, we can ask right away, instead of asking after they've returned...
