lila is sitting at the bonfire and wearing the uniform on the right in summer colors, because her actual clothes are in the laundry right now to free them of the compost and smoothie.

she looks up when she spots rupert approaching.]

[it's said with a frown as he approaches. he doesn't really think she'll be okay tonight, but...]

I don't understand why this had to happen. She didn't seem like the type to kill someone at all...

...I talked to her about it, but she wouldn't tell me why. She only said that the reason isn't important, and when I asked her if it was worth it, she said she hoped so.

Even if it isn't ominous, it's definitely confusing. Like, wouldn't she know whether it was...? Unless she meant it depends on what happens to her.

I mean - don't get me wrong, I'm not really thrilled about what she did, but...

I'm not either, but... isn't it supposed to be up to the courts to decide what to do with someone who does something like that?

Not a bunch of students having a trial, and not... not a school that treats someone dying like they failed a class and made a big joke out of it.

I think at this point, calling this place a school is pretty generous.

Oh, that's a good one. I was thinking "prison," but I couldn't think of anything most of us have done to end up in one.

I guess people can be falsely imprisoned, so you aren't too far off there.

I can't believe they're still going to keep us trapped here even after someone died.

Right? This should be a reason for them to let us go.

On top of the many, many other reasons, like how we've told them all multiple times we didn't ask to be here.

...Can you still not get through to your dorm head, or is it just Viola?

I can't get ahold of Sally. It's... I'm worried. [...] The principal said they asked for a sick day, but...

I'm worried, too. After those noises on Thursday night... You would think they would have at least let us know they were okay. Besides, they should still be able to answer messages even if they're sick.

...it's suspicious, right? It just feels suspicious to me.

[heartlands]

Yeah. I'd - I mean, I don't think I'd be feeling awesome if I could talk to them, but I would at least be feeling less worried about one specific thing.

[wtfox]

...hopefully we'll be able to talk to them tomorrow, or the next day? We just have to keep trying until the emails work again.
